10% of Datuma's setup and annual fees
funds local charities.
Not a round-up. Not a tax deduction. A direct transfer from our margin. When you pay for construction or maintenance, 10% goes directly to counsellors, playworkers, and nurses.
Three charities. Three kinds of care.
Mind in Berkshire
Mental health — Reading, Wokingham, West Berkshire
Funds Mind in Berkshire counsellors and peer support workers.
Camp Mohawk
Children with special needs — Wargrave, Berkshire
Pays for Camp Mohawk playworkers who run sensory sessions and adventure play.
Naomi House & Jacksplace
Palliative and end-of-life care — Winchester, Hampshire
Funds Naomi House nurses who provide end-of-life care for children and young adults.
How it works
Every Datuma invoice includes a separate charity allocation line: "Charity allocation (10%): £X.XX". This covers Construction and Maintenance charges. It does not include support hours or your organisation's Fuel costs.
The allocation is split equally between the three charities. If you'd prefer a different split, let us know. We adjust manually.
Example: Standard tier, first year
Fuel (£0.04 per result) is charged separately and does not contribute to the charity allocation.
Proof
We publish an annual proof document showing every charity allocation made, totals per charity, and confirmation of transfers. No claims without receipts.
Why we do this
Datuma was built in Berkshire. These three charities operate within a few miles of where the code was written. We chose them because we know the people they help, and because "counsellors, playworkers, and nurses" is specific enough to picture an actual person.
This isn't a marketing strategy. It's a structural decision. 10% is baked into the pricing model, not bolted on after the fact. When you choose Datuma, part of your invoice directly funds someone's counsellor, a child's play session, or a nurse's shift.
